I mentioned before that my aunt, the one that I lived with and consider to be my second Mum, was pregnant.

At approximately 5.50am, my baby cousin was born at 23 weeks of term.

He was perfectly formed in every way, with long limbs, perfect fingers and toes... but very very very under-developed lungs.

He lived for an hour, never opening his eyes, and passed away at 6.50am.

Gettin' my rant on.

( Yes, I'm one of those old school Who Snobs... )

I'm always hesitant about reccing new stories, especially when there are only two or three chapters. But this one has so much potential, and I wanted to share.

Don't Tread On Me by GardenGnome starts out with the new Watcher's Council, in the forms of Giles and Buffy, going to try to make an alliance of sorts with a group of hunters (that includes Sam and Dean). Things get off to a rocky start when Buffy and Giles make some unfortunate assumptions about hunters in general. And the fact that the hunters have had bad experiences with the old Watcher's Council in the past doesn't help. There's distrust, suspicion and dislike all around. And I'm loving it.

There are only 2 chapters so far. But they are nice and long, and were quickly updated. And if you are like me, and don't mind arriving at the party early, check it out. And don't forget to leave feedback to encourage the author to keep writing. I gotta know what happens next.

There is so much to say about those Winchester boys. I have read the sides, but no other spoilers and my brain is doing somersaults of speculation. susannaheanes is begging me to post public what I've been telling her on the phone for the last week, like some sort of Kripke'd benchmark. LOL Maybe. Maybe.

Or what I like to think of as "An American Werewolf in Los Angeles" is on.

Anyway, I was letting the flist know because it does give an uncredited and cute (slightly dopey) performance from MR. We may be in a drought for a while. So, now on SCI-FI.

Bonus, there's also a Milo Ventimiglia in it for Heroes fans and he's out and proud in the movie (although not having sex with his older brother).

Um, for the Dawson's Creek people and now that I think about it, he and MR have worked together a lot, Joshua Jackson is in it too.

Overall for the movie?

Baker's done infinitely better effects, Wes Craven has been fresher, and I've seen the legend handled better (see Ginger Snaps), but it is fun and I enjoy any werewolf flicks I get.
